The O'Farrell family got started in the metal recycling in 1953 when Gerald O'Farrell took a job at a local Seattle steel mill. And they've never looked back. In 1984 Marty O'Farrell founded Independent Metals in Seattle Washington and was joined by brother Mick O'Farrell (partner) in 1988, Gloria O'Farrell in 1990, Lisa O'Farrell in 1995 and Ted O'Farrell in 2004. Independent metals supplies 6 different countries including China, Korea, India, Singapore, Japan and the United States.
